Fish soup / Fiash broth Ingredients :

  • 1 kg fresh fish
  • 1 tablespoon of pèbè (African nutmeg)
  • 2 onions
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili (optional)

Fish Soup / Fish broth Description

Taso Lounge Restaurant's fish broth is a simple and flavorful recipe that starts with preparing and seasoning the fish with salt and pepper. Next, a mixture of vegetables (onions, garlic, tomato, celery) is blended and added to the fish, which has been previously browned in a little oil. The mixture is then simmered in about 1.5 liters of water for 30 minutes to obtain a fragrant and comforting broth, to be enjoyed hot with a side of your choice.

Fish Soup / Fish broth recipe

  1. Clean the fish thoroughly, removing all impurities from the inside. Then rinse it several times with salt water. Drain well!
  2. Place the drained fish in a plate, season with salt and pepper. Let it rest for about fifteen minutes.
  3. Peel the onions and garlic, then chop them roughly. Wash the tomato and celery and chop them.
  4. In a blender, add the onions, garlic, tomato, and celery. Blend well until you get a paste.
  5. Pour the paste over the fish and mix everything well.
  6. In a pot, heat some oil and sauté the fish for a few moments over medium heat. Then add about 1.5 liters of water. Season with salt and pepper again. Let it cook for about thirty minutes. Serve hot with an accompaniment of your choice!
